What are you hoping for? We hear a lot about hope these days.  We hope for a better economy...more freedom for our faith...the right job...a nice house...better relationships. Sometimes we put so much energy into hoping for things we can’t do much about, that we forget to hope for the stuff that really matters. The one thing about hope...it ALWAYS looks forward. We may dread something in our past, or wish for something different today, but we can only hope for that which hasn’t yet

come.

If there are any people who ought to understand the true nature of hope, it is those who have placed their faith in Christ. He is the essence of hope. In fact, it could easily be argued that outside of Christ, there is no hope at all. Our hope is for an unbelievable future. Our hope lies in our belief that what we see here on earth now isn’t the extent of all there is. Our hope is that God has prepared for us a something far beyond anything we can imagine or comprehend. “In my Father’s house” Jesus said, “ are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you so, for I go to prepare a place for you.” That fact alone ought to encourage each of us to practice some real hope, and like Paul remember that “In the future there is stored up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

Here’s Hope Ministries exists for one reason. We believe that hope is found in Christ alone. There are untold numbers of people who have never heard or seen the message of that hope, so our desire is to meet the immediate needs of people in Belize and other regions in order to offer them a solution for the greatest need of all: new life in Jesus Christ. That is a hope that can not be offered by any political institution, nor can it be limited by geographic boundaries. Best of all, it’s a hope that is forever.
